Big jets are walking our kids up and the entire neighborhood at 6:24 or earlier even on weekends. Our entire house is shaking. The noise is unbearable and the pollution is alarming. Make it stop! We have many schools and daycare centers they are flying over and it’s not safe and very disruptive to our community

Allowing big jets to come in and out of this airport should be a none starter. The runway and surrounding services are in able to support these big jets. What happens if there is an emergency? Nearest fire station is not at the airport.

Let’s stop this now before more expansion is considered! I live in San Marcos and the noise factor has increased substantially in the last 10 years. And no flight accidents are acceptable.

The noise is uncontrollable. Even small planes are circling overhead with no control. Very loud and not safe for citizens.

It is not just the noise it is also the exhaust. I have a film of emissions settling on my patio furniture and windowsills of my open windows. I am under the instrument approach about 800 to 1,000 below arriving flights.

I hear these jets at 6:30 in the morning and now a few in the middle of the night. A commercial full size airport would make more sense on the south side of Camp Pendleton or near Miramar where adequate room for multiple runways and a full terminal operation and parking would be available. Shoe horning a new airport in Carlsbad is a poor idea, especially since small charter traffic is expected to double in the next ten years and we will need space for these smaller private jets somewhere free of commercial traffice.

They start early morning. And I have to assume CB doesnt want them, so they go over Vista. You can hardly talk if you are outside. They need more acreage without homes around the airport.

I live in the flight path and strongly oppose all expansion efforts at Palomar Airport. My safety and quality of life are already negatively impacted by airport expansion operations that overstep Carlsbad community airport controls.

We live outside of the NINA boundary, outside of the Area of Influence and we are woken up as early as 5:45 am by AA doing run-ups. The sound comes through closed double pane windows. We live too far away to qualify for any programs to harden our home from the airport noise and the airport made no modifications to its own infrastructure to prevent widespread community interference.
If you can't keep the airport impact at the airport, it shouldn't be happening. They should have never issued a contract with exceptions to aircraft size and quiet hours if they can't do it in a way that stays in balance with the local
community. To make it compatible, the county would be required to purchase avigation easements to create significant interference/change in land use that interferes with zoning and local laws, that hasn't been done. That constitutes 'taking' which violates state and federal constitutions.
Please investigate who is negotiating these contracts. Creating harm and then expecting the public to complain is public waste and abuse, and a violation of the county ethics policy.
Airport sponsor assurances, FAR Part 150 and the FAA land acquisition are not being followed. This puts the county at risk of having to return funds to the federal government for being in breach. It could also disqualify them from future improvement grants. The same documents that they pointed at to do this are the very documents that they are violating with their haphazard expansion/exception.
Contracts need to be legal and need to not drag unwilling participants/tax payers into them by imposing damages via theft of property rights without due process or compensation. If you insist that the public 'just move' you have to compensate them and pay their moving expense (FAA policy).
Bring the airport back into balance with the community. Stop this 'us versus them' mentality. We all live in the same community, and even FAA documents promote community balance.

The noise, size and frequency of the airplanes flying over our 55+ community here in San Marcos is unbelievable. I am amazed how low they fly, it is unnerving to say the least.

I live under the flight path of McClellan-Palomar airport in a 55+ community. If the noise wasn't enough we inhale the pollution cascading down on our homes. The sticky black film on our cars is the telltale sign of the of the pollution left behind. We can't have a flight path over our most vulnerable citizens.
