STOP Big Jets at McClellan-Palomar Airport

Please abide by the rules already in place for this regional airport. I urge the County Board to listen to the public.

I served in the Marine Corps for 25 years. While I was in the Marine Corps, I was exposed to the chemical Agent Orange which has affected my health. Additionally, I have a sleeping disorder which has gotten worse with the big jets flying over my neighborhood while my wife and I are trying to sleep. McClellan-Palomar Airport was not designed for big jets. These jets are affecting our environment. Please send them away!

Undoubtedly their are residents of North County that would enjoy the convenience of more commercial airline service at Palomar Airport, however, do the majority of them live directly in the flight path? No, but those of us who do, number in the thousands! Our concerns with noise pollution, air pollution and traffic are being totally overlooked. Before any commercial airlines and/or more private jets are allowed, there should be a complete review of approach patterns, noise abatement and road traffic. There are some simple ways to fix some of these very serious concerns of North County citizens. If only the County officials were to be a little more concerned about the negative impact that increased commercial traffic has on the quality of health and its citizens lives in general, then perhaps there could be some forward movement on both parts . What the County is doing to the city of Carlsbad and the citizens, is a sheer display of greed.

It is unethical to prioritize convenience for a few over the health, safety, and quality of life for the majority. NO BIG JETS AT PALOMAR.

I am against expansion of flights at Palomar airport in 2026.

Absolutely need to get the airport under control. Big jets and noisy planes over schools and homes are not ok

Please stop the big jets. Our small neighborhood airport is great but the noise and busy skies from big jets and late schedule ruin our community

I've lived with this for 25 years - directly over Palomar Airport Rd. Enough is enough!

This is a PAC MAN approach to become JWA South. Stop, for heaven's sake!

This will be my single issue on which I will vote for local representatives

We already hear the E-175 commercial jets takeoff in the morning and evenings. When we bought we knew Palomar was here but at that time (2013) it was a community based airport not a commercial hub. Please keep the character of Palomar community focused and disallow commercial expansion for ever larger jets.

No commercial flights should be made out of Palomar, there are well established airports nearby so there’s no reason for Palomar to be one. It causes air and noise pollution and impacts every resident negatively.

It’s so sad that the County Board has no regard for the residents of Carlsbad and are seemingly only interested in increasing revenue. What happened to quality of life priorities ?

We don’t want you in Carlsbad!

They are heard at all hours, and flight patterns come too close over our homes. Complaint forms are ignored, no requests for callbacks are acknowledged. Loud ad and wakes us up in the wee hours of the morning.

Enough! Stop trying to usurp local control and to turn McClellan-Palomar Airport into something it was never intended to be.
