The landfill operations are finally being suspended after all this time. I am drained from the fight but relieved to know we can breathe again. Keep watching them because we earned this peace.

Final supporters
We, the citizens and businesses of Montgomery County have dealt with noxious odors from the Stony Hollow Landfill for too long! These fumes have ruined our Spring, Summer, Fall, and now persist into the Winter. We are asking for help from any and all agencies, powers, and people of influence to end this now!
The odor is so strong and overwhelming that it prevents outdoor activities, threatens our health, and disrespects our community. How long can this go on being ignored? Please join us as we fight for the right to finally breathe clean, healthy air again!

Seeing this grow makes the constant exhaustion feel a little more bearable. The weight of this fight is heavy but knowing so many neighbors are feeling the same sting of this air keeps me tied to the mission.

I have close friends that live by this landfill, and I drive past it on my commute. The odor is horrible, and ppl in the community cannot let their children outside to play due to health hazards, and risk.
The putred smell makes it so that I cannot go outside at all. I have dogs, bird baths, feeders, gardens ..cannot go out side...
I have lived in Moraine my entire life, and after that smell started last year I actually considered moving away from the city... Then I realized that my property value dropped, and no one would want a house somewhere with a nose burning oder that turns you into a prisoner of your home. And sometimes being inside doesn't even help - the smell is everywhere!
My Electric bill was much higher last summer due to keeping the air conditioning running after dark so thesmell would stay out. This is not fair to Moraine residents and wouldn't be talarated in Oakwood or Centerville.
I feel that the stench from the landfill can and will cause many illnesses, if it hasn't already. It's ridiculous when you can smell it all the way up to I- 75. A lot of residents in the area have moved because of this landfill. Enough is enough!!
Needs shut down. Period
STOP POISONING US! STOP MAKING US PRISONERS IN OUR OWN HOMES! STOP DECREASING OUR PROPERTY VALUES! STOP MAKING US AND OUR CHILDREN SICK!!!! YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO HARM PEOPLE AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE DOING!! MAYBE TRY WHAT OTHER COUNTRIES DO AND BURN IT TO USE AS FUEL! STOP POLLUTING OUR EARTH. BURRYING GARBAGE IS THE MOST DUMBASS THING YOU CAN DO!!

So tiree of the smells. We live right by it, dont want to leave our windows open, i have breathing issues and now wonder what I have been breathing in. We all have horrible sinus issues. Also the smell has gotten so bad it makes you want to get sick! Something needs to be done
