What are your thoughts on a proposed 96 unit apartment complex at the very end of our community? If you're not for this apartment complex within our community please join us and sign the petition. We also encourage you to join the zoom meeting listed below.

Somethings that are concerning here:

The original design for this land included a handful of townhomes (seen here: https://franklinbrothershomes.com/stone-creek/) and makes no mention of a multi-family home.

Additional traffic from nearly 100 additional homes that were not originally planned for this neighborhood.

* Please reach if you have other concerns you'd like listed in this space*

Here is the information from a letter I received in the mail regarding this complex:

I HAVE BEEN SPENDING MY ENTIRE WEEK TALKING TO NEIGHBORS AND DIGGING INTO THE ORIGINAL ZONING PLANS TO PROTECT OUR STREETS!! THE SILENCE FROM THE DEVELOPERS IS LOUD BUT WE ARE GOING TO KEEP PUTTING THE PRESSURE ON THEM UNTIL THEY EXPLAIN WHY THEY IGNORED THE ORIGINAL TOWN HOME DESIGN!!

March 1, 2022

OUR MOMENTUM IS ABSOLUTELY EXPLODING RIGHT NOW!! IT IS CLEAR THAT THE PEOPLE OF STONE CREEK ARE COMPLETELY UNITED AGAINST THIS MASSIVE DEVELOPMENT AND I AM BEYOND STOKED TO SEE SUCH INCREDIBLE ENERGY FROM EVERYONE!!

Parking of nearby apartment complex is already a nightmare. Cannot even drive down Cameron without pulling over for another car to pass. We also confirmed the space proposed here would NOT be apartments before choosing to buy a home in Stone Creek. This feels like a betrayal.

This subdivision was built on the pretext of 32 townhomes. People bought in good faith and good money on these homes believing that. Traffic and parking in this little area will just be atrocious. The infrastructure can’t handle that many people in this area.

No to the 96 Unit Apt. This is a residential neighborhood with only two ingress/egress roads. Traffic from the apartments would make already congested neighborhood roads dangerous. It would also increase traffic dangers for kids at the elementary school.

That’s a huge increase in units and I share concerns about traffic and neighborhood congestion. I know Bend needs more affordable housing and I support that but I’m concerned about the limited entry points into the neighborhood as well as the effect of all that growth in our only (small) green space and park.

This was originally planned to be town homes. Quietly the developers have been adjusting their plans and adding in more and more apartments without enough parking to accommodate them. They charge exorbitant rates that do nothing to alleviate the need for affordable housing and this tiny neighborhood can not handle this proposed level of population density.

The apartments will not have direct access to Reed Market Rd. thus forcing hundreds of vehicles daily onto small residential streets.

This board of city council members should be impeached!! They don't care about the 'air quality' (more cars) Bend is going down the tubes, due to Over Growth. They want to put 2,000 new homes by the landfill on 27th street. Enough is enough!!
