The administration confirmed that the field show program is officially moving forward. I am exhausted by the battle but thankful that we stuck to this until the end. We have to keep our eyes on the planning process to ensure they follow through.

The feedback from students has been heavy and constant since we started this. Dealing with the bureaucracy is exhausting but knowing that so many of you want this field show keeps me moving forward.

the kids today should have the lessons of hard work and the rewards we had. I marched the last years they did field and miss it greatly.
My wish is for the students of Kenosha to enjoy the same opportunities that students in Racine have. In face, we have two field marching troops, the Lighthouse Brigade and the Racine Scouts, not to mention the Kilties.
I am so proud of the students who are pursuing this. I am an alum, and if you ask anyone who marched in the "heyday", they will tell you that being in Black Watch was the best part of their time in high school.
In highschool I had the privilege of being in a Marching/Concert Band that took pride in their Field Shows. Long hours and hard work similar to that of a Varsity Sport. Learning the importance of positioning, timing, execution..and how they all relate to the band members around.. Fond memories of what always came out in the end to be amazing performances/experiences. Very appreciative of the opportunities I've had being a part of a band that would perform field shows.
I think it would be a great experience to do field shows. My marching band is doing field shows now and it is so much fun!

Good luck!! We need more field show bands! Sitting at MACBDA in Whitewater wishing there were much bands competitions!
