This is a disgrace. I came to St. Joseph the Worker school after being bullied in public school, and Mr. Boniti made my new friendships his business. He checked on me daily to make sure I was being treated with kindness by my new classmates - that we were behaving like the Catholics we would grow up to be. How sad that someone thinks they know God's mind and believes that Mr. Boniti should be turned away from his vocation. Not only that, but this would open up the school to an ageism lawsuit. And bonus: St. Joseph would likely lose another dedicated teacher in Mrs. Boniti because who would want to work some olace where your husband's life's work was valued so little.

I have known AL Bonita for many years and his dedication to the Weirton Catholic school system and his students is unparalleled. It would be a travesty to not keep this good and honorable person as the principal at St. Joseph's school.

I have been trying to put into words how I feel about this situation and honestly I am at a loss for words. I went to St. Joseph and so did both my boys. All I can say we are family there. I sent my children there because of many reasons…the catholic Education, the safety, the wonderful and dedicated teachers and of course Mr. Boniti. I knew I could trust him with my children and to do right by them. I was 6 or 7 years old when I met Mr. Boniti…and his wife came when I entered 3rd Grade. We students attended their wedding...they dedicated their lives to us!! I am 50 years old now and have grown to love and respect them both. I wish I knew the “true” reason for all this…the rationale behind this decision…maybe I could process it better but I can’t believe that Mr. Boniti would be asked to leave. He listens, he cares, he is dedicated…he is the backbone of St. Joseph the Worker School and this is a disservice to the children, the families and to the parish. He is well respected and no matter what the child come first…How many people can say that about their principle? I hope that whoever made this decision would reconsider and allow Mr. Boniti to continue and retire on his terms and let’s put this behind us…he deserves that much for all his years of service to our school. I am heartbroken and disappointed in whoever made this decision because it is not right…myself and my family stands behind him…in whatever he decides to do. He is a kind soul and I personally thank him for taking care of my boys and giving them 100% percent all the time…you are one of a kind Mr. Boniti!!

Without knowing all of the facts, this indeed is a poor example of Christian Love. So close to retiring and to have a rug pulled out from under him, saddens my heart.
If we could get a "Why" that made any sense that is different. Explanation please!

My friend has 5 kids that attend this school. They all love this man as not only a principal but as a man of God. They deserve to be taught by a loving respectable man and not by a stand in.
