Megan was taken from us on June 24, 2016. She was on a boat when a man who was drinking hit the boat she was on and went up onto the boat and hit her so hard that it threw her 30 feet into the river. The man is from a small town and very prominent and never received anything more than misdemeanor charges. No alcohol test, no felonies he's going to get a slap on the wrist. She was 31 years old had 3 small children and her life mattered more than this. Her death was ruled reckless homicide and he needs to be held accountable. We are trying to fight for Megan

I have spoken directly to Megan's parents. Please read and share. My hearts breaks for this family and I believe justice should be served. You do the crime do the time regardless of who you know, your status in the community or how much money you have.
Being a resident of Ogle County, I'm disappointed and ashamed to discover this level of corruption here! Yet, those that are aware of the "defendants" connections were not surprised. Megan and her family deserve justice!!
This was a senseless tragedy, that could have been avoided. He made a decision that day and it cost someone their life. That someone was a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and best friend. I pray that justice is served so her family may have some closure.
I loved Megan very much we grew up together.. watched each other become mommies and get married she was at the hospital when I had both my sons and she watched me get married. I did the same for her. She deserves justice and u all do too.
I stand up for Megan. I did not know her, but I know that her life was taken from her and her family by the negligence of another. This reckless act should be met with felony charges from the States Attorney. Do what is just & right.
DHS illegally took my kids n I want them back now and DHS ppl in prison they're trying to sell my kids n trying to get my parental rights and the dads taking they are lying and drugging my son my oldest is out of state and my youngest daughter dad has her but DHS is lying to them to. I have evidence n the judge ruled out that my house fine my Pys evaluation both them show i don't need treatment dhs trying to use my disable against me and tried to say I've deprived my kids and their lying they have contracts with councilors schools hospitals to get their way n some judges and attorneys to in this money scheme. Y'all know that they get money for every child they take
This is a complete injustice for this family. They have already lost their daughter, mother, sister and aunt and to have no real punishment for this man is disgusting and infuriating. We as a community should be better than this. Marc Morgan should be in jail at the very least.

This guy shouldn't get anything dismissed. He should have to face the consequences. He killed megan. How is dismissing all charges and giving his license back justice? He choose to drive a boat intoxicated. Megan didnt choose to die.
