This is a complete injustice for this family. They have already lost their daughter, mother, sister and aunt and to have no real punishment for this man is disgusting and infuriating. We as a community should be better than this. Marc Morgan should be in jail at the very least.

I’m so deeply sorry for your loss. It’s terrible how your family was treated by the justice department. That’s a crime in its self.

Wow. I'm so sorry your family is endured this. I cant imagine and wont even try to think what actions i would take if i were in your shoes. My heart goes out to her family, and children. I'm so sorry for your loss. I never heard of this story and I'm angered that it does seem to be pushed under the rug somewhat by those who should be doing so much more and obligations or oaths that were taken to uphold the law and have failed in so many ways. Unfortunately that is small town justice when your wallet is a little thicker then some. Best wishes, praying and all the love to her family.

Something is wrong with our system when offenders are not held accountable for their actions. I pray for justice for Megan.

30 years law enforcement experience. Ogle county judicial system is a joke. I am sorry for your loss. Eric Marrow is either corrupt or really incompetent.

I think if you have watched or read any of the documents on the stand up for megan site, what has gone on here is not even a question, it is quite obvious...I don't know law at all but the way I have understood it, because of the way the charges ended up going, he cannot be charged or tried again with any of those charges, I may be wrong, but if that is the case, in a sense it is what it is, if it can't be changed I pray the family finds peace in making sure this doesn't happen to other "unimportant" families...the saddest part is that Megan lost here life, her children lost their mommy, the most important person in their entire lives, her husband, her parents, her sisters, so many people who knew Megan lost a beautiful soul, I don't know Megan or her family at all but something no family should have to go thru...unfortunately it happens...sad that Megan's life had to be taken to expose the corruption in Ogle County...being from this area my entire life, and not being unaware of the corruption in the state of Illinois and in our government and judicial system (although, let me also say, there are so many amazing people serving in these fields also as in Officer Beltran and his colleagues who were made to look like they didn't do their job, the people who allowed this are why people don't trust our system and the officers that are really here doing good and putting their lives at risk every day to protect us), but not having a clue the corruption was here, I thought it was probably in Chicago or something...clueless to that a county this small, people I know and respected and thought were honest people doing what they do to help serve and protect people, especially people who now no longer are able to represent themself or their story...and I do not at all get why people have even questioned anything at all about Megan that evening...was she drinking?? was she drunk?? I have no idea, don't know her, don't even care actually because again after seeing all of the info

Mongan needs to be held accountable for what he has done. It makes me sick that the most time he will get will be 3 years.

This is horrible and feel so bad for the family. She left behind children and that is really hard on everyone. I think that the person who cause this needs to be brought to justice! This person should be brought to justice no matter what his status is in society.

This is sickening that this happened. Nobody should be above the law just because they're a well known person. I hope that you can find some sort of peace in all of this, and I hope his karma comes soon.

I am so sad for all envoloved in the loss of Megan. I don't understand why his charges weren't more severe. They need to be charges that include the phrase 'causing death'. If he were in a car it would have, what's the difference? OWI is OWI wether on the road or on the water. I stand with you in hoping justice will be served.
