Stand up against Liberty University: Move LC graduation from May 7th

Changing the graduation date after all of the incoming seniors and their families have planned for the original date for all these years is so wrong and causes a lot of turmoil.

A locality should NEVE have to put up with the bullying that a school like Liberty has been doing to Lynchburg and surrounding areas for a very long time. I think it is appalling the way Liberty University acts, it is a place of higher learning not to act like a scorned child when it dose not get what it wants.

To change an exam schedule at LC to accommodate LU's graduation is ludicrous. Why is LU changing their graduation date from the first weekend in May to the 2nd? Is it because of a political speaker's schedule? This is just absurd.

Liberty is a Christian institution in name only. They are a big-business with their hand in everything. LU and TRBC are a behemoth-business--a money making machine, capitalizing off of Jesus' name. Pretty sick.

I am alumnae of Lynchburg College and it is not right to allow Liberty University to override and undermine the cabinet of LC into changing their graduation date. Exam time and graduation time is stressful for students as it is then to have everything compressed into just five days is ludicrous. Some of your students like I was are not traditional students and have outside school responsibilities and need that extra study time. And the traditional students work and also need that extra study time, that extra study time could mean the difference between someone graduating and not!

LU is needs to stop acting like they are more important than other universities/colleges. Every one of them strive for the same purpose, to further students' education.

If you are a supporter of LU then you should be ashamed. However, you are reflecting exactly why people in Lynchburg are fed up with LU. For a "christian" school, their actions are frequently very unchristian. Maybe the administration should try living the principles they are teaching. The example they set of lying, underhanded deals and unethical behavior speaks much louder than anything that is said in the classroom. As any parent knows, it's not what you say, it's how you act.

Im so tired of LU controlling everyone else's choices. LC has been here longer and has always been the week after LU and LU always chooses the week before. I've lived here 20 years. Almost 21. And it'd be nice to see the school get some respect. I am a Christian and have no issues with LU except for the fact that they are getting alittle to biggity. Go back to the old ways. Thanks!
