Last year, a few students at my school, with the help of a teacher, composed a new Alma Mater that they collectively felt represented the values and message that our school instilled in us. When it was presented to our administration, they politely told us that it was too close to graduation. This year, the new Alma Mater is something many of the students would like to see changed, especially since most of us don’t know the original. As a student body, we feel that this new Alma Mater will promote school spirit and pride.
