I do not have pre 2013 numbers but in the last two years upper school fees have gone up from £9,600 pa to £10,500 pa, that's a 9.4% increase over 24 months.Lower school fees have gone up a similar percentage. In the same period according to UKGOV official statistics the average UK salary had increased 1.6%. Inflation is pretty much 0% so how are the school governors justifying such massive increases each year. The new facilities are amazing but the school insists they are not funded from school fees.
The £450 increase last year has happened and there is little we can do about it but the proposed 2015 increase of a further £450 can be opposed and reduced or in my opinion dropped completely. If you support keeping school fees as they are for 2015 please sign our petition.

Seeing the growing list of families who feel the same frustration as I do has been overwhelming. It reminds me that we are not alone in questioning these costs while we try to balance our budgets at home.

The first of our children has started at SPS and we had planned for the next 2 to follow, but this rate of cost increases puts us I'm a difficult position. The rise is completely unexpected, given the low inflation here, and frankly threatens the dream we have of putting all 3 of our children through SPS.
I want to see the published exam results for Staines Prep to support this increase & to assess the return on this money. Surely an increase of this level so soon after last year's should be justifiable - where are the results to support this? Where is the money raised from an increase in fees being spent?

This is a huge increase but not justified and I am disappointed that along with the increase extra sibling discount was not introduced. Parents with more than one child at sp are not benefitting at all by putting all their children in one school.
