I live on Chisolm Road. My son is a senior at St Johns High School. I'm asking you to join me in the fight to keep the St. John’s High School homecoming parade going.
It is a long lasting tradition and it should not have to be abandoned due to development and traffic. We can find alternative routes to keep this wonderful tradition going for future generations.

I was just looking at the count and we are almost at 500 which is honestly wild because I really just started this on a whim while sitting on my porch watching the construction trucks go by. If everyone reading this just grabs their phone and sends the link to a few neighbors who care about the parade route right now we could hit that goal before the sun goes down tonight.

There is no need to alter this community staple. There are several routes avoiding Main Road that is accessible to traffic. Johns Island has enough issues for others to worry about. This is NOT one of them. St. Johns High School Alum Class of 2007
Please keep this tradition alive! I have not only attended the parade but when I had a business on the Island I was in the parade a few years! This is one day out of 365 for a total of 90 minutes, please keep this tradition alive!
The St. John's High Homecoming parade is an Johns/Wadmalaw Island tradition. The parade has always traveled from Haut Gap Middle to St. John's High the Friday afternoon before the homecoming game. It's a shame a community gathering is being sacrificed for a few who lack school spirit and hometown pride.
I am an Alumni of St. John’s High School. I look forward to the parade every year since I was little. I’ve arranged my leave time around the homecoming parade. The NEW residents can do the same thing that those of us, who’ve lived here and enjoyed the one hour festivities for years have done. Make arrangements!
I am an Alumni and so is my husband, my daughter, my mother, dad, Aunts, Uncles, my entire family on both sides. It would deeply sadden us to have this happen. I am an Islander and my pride is strong.
Sense I first moved to John's island and heard about this home coming parade from Saint John's High School. It has been so Wonderful to watch and see the Pride of those not only watching it but those in the Parade. Don't take the Parade away. This is apart of all of us. Pride from all of us living on John's island. This is so Beautiful to watch and tossing the Candy to the Children hands to it. From the past watching this Parade to now there are more people standing and sitting around watching it and some are sitting in there cars watching it because of health reason. But we all love to see it and the people in it. This is John's island Pride. My Children Graduate from Saint John's. Don't take the Parade away from us. I have 3 Grandsons that have Graduated from St John's John's. 2 last year and I have another Grandson in Saint John's Now. Let's keep the Pride and Honor going. We want the Parade.

I did not attend St. Johns High but this parade has been a tradition for many years. I grew up on Johns Island and I would hate to see this once a year tradition cease just because of the increase in traffic to and from the island.
