It's unbelievable that there is even debate about this. Car vandalism is almost non-existent since their introduction, and there are many other obvious benefits from having them.

Regrettably with the reduced police presence, cctv is needed in the town.

We need this to help keep not only us locals protected but also the thousands of visitors who arrive to enjoy this beautiful area.

When these cameras were introduced vehicular vandalism in car parks fell sharply. We are a premier resort and should have the same coverage as other towns.

CCTV should be installed. I want to feel safe when I visit the town for my holidays. It is an unfortunate necessity in modern Britain.

As a resident I feel very strongly that St Ives should have CCTV cameras reinstated. It is so important that they are there as a deterrent against crime and to help the police keep the town a safe place to live and visit.

It is ludicrous that we have no CTV, particularly with the large influx of people during the season and the number of seasonal workers who have to walk to work due to the lack of parking.

Without a permanently manned police station in town this might provide some sense of security
We really so need this.
