The local council has granted our application for the temple expansion. This confirmation provides us the space we need to welcome every devotee who seeks a place for reflection. We will move forward with our plans carefully to ensure this remains a sanctuary for our community.

Expansion of Temple - Satisfying You In a Better Way!
The Lord Shiva Hindu Temple was estbalished over 5 years ago, in June 2011. It is a non-profit religious organization, bringing the Indian Community together and providing them a social and cultural platform. We solely focus on delivering satisfaction and fulfilling your religious requirements!
Every year temple successfully organizes various events including major Indian festivals like Mahashivratri, Navratri, Holi, Krishna Janamastmi, Karwachauth, Dusshera and Diwali.
We have observed a rapid increase in the number of people associated with the temple since past 5 years, massly including the Indian Community of the Amsterdam and Amstelveen region. Devotees participate in various cultural & spiritual activities organized by temple (including Indian music classes; meditation etc.)
Highlights of ‘Need for Expansion’:
- Devotees find the ‘Lord Shiva Hindu Temples’ a satisfactory place to fulfill and satisfy their religious needs & derivation of mental peace.
- We have build a high goodwill within Indian community in last 5+ years and devotees expect from us as well as urge us to rise a step forward to satisfy and fulfill their requirements.
- We have lack of space in the temple for the proper arrangement for the visit of mass number of devotees participating in the big religious festivals/events held in the temple.
- Thus, we need for expansion of the temple and make provision of services for the community.
- We look forward to make various beneficial additions in the new temple such as a separate area for community cultural activities or meditation rooms for the members, separate amusing area for the children, a more compatible parking area, additions of much more benefits for the Indian community enhancing your sense of satisfaction!
We hope this request for additional space meets kind approval for temple to expand further and provide for the cultural and spiritual needs of Indian community; letting us deliver you satisfaction and happiness in the best way we can!

Het Hindoeïsme predikt een vreedzame levenswijze. Vooral nu zou deze levensfilosofie moeten doordringen tot de gehele mensheid. Daarom steun ik de uitbreiding.
This is a great initiative. Bigger mandir will support more activities. Avi Sharma Ji has been promoting secularism and including all religous groups hence I support his initiative fully.
For the Mandir we really require a larger space to accommodate all devotees, especially on festivals and more parking space is needed.

It's a place where I get peace of mind and It would be nice if lots of pleaple can also enjoy the same feeling in their busy life
