My 5th grade class is educating people on why using the r-word (retard) is disrespectful and hurtful. We want people to know that every time they use the r-word it belittles people with intellectual disabilities. Our goal is to open people's eyes to how hurtful this word really is. We would love for you to pledge wth us to stop using the r-word and to speak up when other people use it. Sign our petition and help spread the word!

My students and I are reading every single comment you leave and we are honestly overwhelmed by your kindness. It has been such a lesson for our classroom to see so many people care about this language and the impact it has on others.
