The current level of interest has triggered inquiries from two regional transit journalists regarding our proposal. I am finalizing a formal briefing document to present to the Department for Transport during our upcoming meeting.

needs reopening ,too much traffic on A461/A5/pelsall road,could make a park and ride at Newtown bridge/and the line could continue to burton on trent/derby.
I live in Derby and have family in Sutton Coldfield. I want to use public transport to visit, but currently it is twice the time and twice the cost of my car.
Transport for Britain are fully behind any plans to reinstate this railway line
I am asking for the full 120 Kms between Worcester and Derby to be completed with commuter and regional TRAINS. Not "bus on rails" trams or tram trains (still trams) that sever the 120 Kms. We need Derby to Devon via Dudley and Burton on Trent to Bristol via Brierley Hill. A train - tram - train railway is stupid when you could do away with the changes and have the trains and stations back over the complete 120 Kms. [email protected]

The reinstatement of this important line will reduce congestion on overcrowded local roads, will improve public transport links and will benefit business.

Reopening would really benefit local people in pelsall, brownhills and relieve congestion in the A461
these rail links would help easy congestion off our roads.
The only, most important, strategic, easily reinstated 65 Km Stourbridge to Burton missing link on the Worcester to Derby main railway in the UK. What complete idiocy not to re-open it at a time of rising congestion on our trains, roads and motorways. At only £4 to £6 m per Km, too!
you only have to look at the success of the reopening of the line from Walsall to Rugeley.to see this would also be a success
This connection has great potential; obviously, it provides local/regional connections, but has the potential to substantially enhance national connectivity for both passenger and freight
Black Country requires upgrade to transport infrastructure to support investment in new housing, industrial capacity, leisure facilities/ tourism.
Need it back ASAP!
This link needs reinstating, together with the railway from Walsall to Stourbridge, for both freight and passenger traffic, to improve local accessibility, relieve the A461 and other local roads and provide a rail bypass for Birmingham.
Re-opening this line would be a shot in the arm for the economy of the area and will improve the quality of life for everyone. The cost is a drop in the ocean compared to HS2.

urgently needed. have put plan together. needs to be built to RA8. My aim is to see bi mode tram trains run a 10 min frequency between Wolverhampton to Aldridge via Walsall, and more importantly Stourbridge Junction to Burton via Walsall, Brownhills, Lichfield, Alrewas and Barton Under Needwood. You have my full support for this vital scheme.
