The reason I created this petition today is to bring a parkour park to Southend, why? Because thousands of young people from Southend and surrounding areas have found a wonderful and amazing urban sport but the problem is... they have nowhere to practice the sport except inside a hot, stuffy gym and on boring slabs of concrete. The sports, parkour and free running are both very healthy ways to stay active and actually teach young people how to overcome obstacles in their lives, physically and mentally. Nearly all of the young people in this area would appreciate it if they had a parkour park to play around with. It would keep them away from crime and would also promote a healthy lifestyle.
