This petition is to prove that there is a need for a new recreational facility/activity in Prince George. A facility that will provide a fitness experience like no other. A Parkour gym will encourage more physical activity in the community by creating a new fitness movement that does not require any equipment or joining an organized sports team. We want to create a massive Parkour community where people of all ages can come together to push the body to reach new heights.
We, the undersigned, believe that a new recreational facility like a Parkour Gym is needed in Prince George.

I spent all morning scouting potential warehouse spaces because jumping over concrete benches in the rain is getting old and honestly Prince George deserves a real dedicated flow spot. People keep messaging me about wanting classes for their kids and it makes me realize this is way more than just a place to flip around on rainy afternoons.

I was just staring at the screen and realized how much steam this idea has actually picked up. It is honestly kind of surreal because people keep talking about needing a place to move and jump and just be active in PG which is exactly what I was hoping for when I started this whole thing on a whim.

Iv taught Parkour out of Smithers Saltos Gymnastics for 4 years, and was averaging around 120 kids a year. My experience while being the only other Parkour Coach in the North (other then Riley) is that this activity is a need. High energy kids, distracted teenagers and stressed adults, all need a place to value progression of themselves. Parkour is just that, and more! Im very confident that this gym will do very well in he biggest city in the north.
Its true that the North west has no Parkour outlets! While down south its exploding with muiltiple Parkour parks and Canadas largest Parkour Gym. Its time for Prince George to bring something mindblowing to the table for active kids and adults. Gotta say, this would boom.
I think Prince George is in need of this. It would be a place for the teenagers to go besides the skateboard park. More options means less couch and video games!
I've been to the parkour gym in Vancouver and loved every minute of it! PG absolutely needs this!!
Would very much like this, I am a practitioner and there is not very many places to practice here since there is not much urban area.
I think this could be a fun thing to put in prince George .we do not have lots of things to do here so that would be awsome

I think this would be a huge asset to PG. Kids are always running around jumping off things getting hurt because there's no place to go for this. To have someone instruct them and help them would be great!!
