Please reconsider your decision as would be a shame if our kid ware left with no access to swimming activities so needed for their development.

Having just moved to Aviemore I'd be gutted if there was no community pool

I regularily attend Aqua Fit Classes on Mondays and Thursday's. Our group of 20 + have just been moved fromDalfaber to Main Pool, which is often to cold and not fit for purpose. Highland Council need to get their act together, and ensure all residents of the valley have the opertunity to partake in healthy exercise choices.

Shame to lose such a wonderful resource which teaches local children a skill for life.

If no swimming then my 3 kids have nowhere to learn/improve and be little point paying highlife membership. Rivers everywhere and no pool access. Way to go.

Would be a real shame to lose the swimming from the high life membership.

Hopefully common sense will prevail as both Macdonalds and HC need to realise the benefit and importance of the scheme.

Good on the community, both Highlife and Macdonald's need to pull a finger out and stop leaving it till the last minute!!

This really needs to be sorted, Aviemore is such a great destination and source of income for MacDonalds, the locals make Aviemore what it is with the friendly community, small businesses. It's not fair to Highlife or anyone who lives here especially children and families.

This is a much needed community resource. Where else are the local children going to learn how to swim. Most people can't afford to go to the Hilton every week. I myself use the pool over the winter when it's too cold to do much outdoor swimming. I need to be able to access affordable facilities close to home for health reasons. It was also bad enough when they stopped visiting family from being able to buy a weekly pass and now no-one will be able to access the pool. I'm disgusted and hope MacDonalds are thoroughly ashamed.

We use this pool whenever we come to visit my sister who has lived and worked in Aviemore for nearly 20 years. She has a young son who has learned to swim at this pool. They don't have the time to travel to Inverness (she works locally in the service industry) or the resources to go regularly to the Hilton pool. It was great that - up until now- this local hotel was both a tourist AND community resource. Indeed i understand that funding to build it was received on the basis that it would serve as such. It can be tough for working families on lower wages to live in a tourist location where other more wealthy visitors come to enjoy the area. It was wonderful how this hotel welcomed community members before...i only hope it continues to do so!

My daughter and grandson live in Aviemore and the use of the swimming pool is an important enjoyment in their lives. Also at a time when it is increasingly apparent that children and adults need physical activity it is important for the health of the community. Here in England where corporate business has such a bad reputation, I hope that business in Scotland can show thorough this a way to supporting the local community. Thank you

I will be very upset if we lose access through Highlife. I train here at least once a week through the winter- it’s essential
