Where are local children going to learn to swim if we can't get access!

Swimming is the only sport that can save lives. Please don't take this away from children who live near a fast flowing river.

It's a disgrace that MacDonalds are denying the local children a place to learn the life-saving skill of swimming. They should be ashamed of themselves. All about greed.

Both my husband and myself use Aviemore pool twice weekly for health reasons. Taking this access away for us would be detrimental to our health. I wonder how many others would be affected like this perhaps family members of MacDonald staff? Where are the rights of local people when funds were given for the pool at the very beginning why wern't there legalities in place for future use? Did Highland Council just hand out money without the future of the community usage of the pool being in place? Surely legally there is something amiss? Why don't MacDonald Centre get on the advertising bandwagon of promoting sport for all and especially young future medallists instead of killing the sport off.

Although I use Grantown pool and gym I enjoy going to Aviemore as there is the Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, facilities that were not regretfully added during the recent refurb. With the very poor bus services in the area now people from Aviemore will find it difficult to go for a swim elsewhere.

Isn’t it the case the only reason the swimming pool was given planning permission in the first instance was to let locals have free access or at least cheap rates

Macdonald hotels need to look seriously on what the impact would be on the local community.
