Why do the locals have to suffer when we bring economy to the area-including MacDonalds through our own businesses. It’s ridiculous and I believe greed on the part of the hotel!!!!

We live in Tomatin and this is the nearest pool to us. Our neighbours use it too.

Macdonalds are being paid a large sum of money so local people can use the pool. How was the pool funded in the first place, I beleive the council partly funded the project, has this been forgotten.

McDonalds receive a large sum of money for the schools and Highlife members. Initially the pool was part funded by the council. Has this been forgotten by them.

Local government funding helped build that pool.

This would be such a shame to lose access to the pool. We holiday in the area and have a Highlife card so that we can use the facilities at the Macdonald resort. Please reconsider to help tourism in the area.

The MacDonald empire is huge and profitable, surely it can see the way to provide a fantastic facility for all the local people in a rural area where their roots are.

Highland Council got a cop out because MacDonald hotels said that they would provide access to the pool. They shouldn't pull out of the agreement.

My daughter and I love going swimming. It would be awful to only have grantown pool as the only pool in the strathspey area for public use.

Having used the swimming pool since it opened as well as now through Highlife, I would be gutted to have to give up swimming before starting work. It is also a great way to stay fit and healthy, as not everyone is able to access the outdoors. It is a great facility to have on our doorstep

swimming is such a benefit for health and fitness that the knock on consequences of redoing this facility for countless local people will probably be felt by the health services and also in terms of reduced wellbeing . Please please keep this wonderful; facility open. It is hugely valued .

This community NEEDS this pool. I swim here regularly, teaching my daughter to swim here, Grantown is too far for us. This is a cruel decision!

It is disgusting that a family run hotel chain like MacDonalds wants to stop local families swimming in the pool. It’s not like you have to do it for free you get paid a heap.

I joined the Highlife for Yoga & swimming. The yoga in the evenings no longer exists & now the swimming might go. Not much point in me staying in the Highlife if this happens. Sort if out will you?
