If memory serves me Macdonald’s got the funding for the pool on the basis they made it available to the local community.

It will be really sad for the local community to lose access to such a vital facility which not only benefits health but also gives the possibility to learn a vital life saving skill. Please reconsider.

Typical corporate fat cats taking everything that makes Aviemore. Don't take away things from the locals, they are what keep your businesses afloat.

I frequently use the Aviemore pool and I'm worried we would lose our swimming club.

As regular pool users it would be extremely disappointing if Macdonald Hotels and Resorts withdrew this facility.

This would be awful for the whole valley and can’t help but feel it’s a money making exercise for Macdonald Hotels, yet again!!

it`s important school children are able to use these facilities to learn to swim with the amount of loch`s rivers etc in the highlands

Whilst I've signed this, I really think it's time to pressure Highland Council into building a public swimming pool in Aviemore. Macdonalds seem to threaten to pull the plug every couple of years to squeeze more money out of the council. I can just about guarantee that 2 or 3 years down the line the same thing will happen again, Time to get our own pool and tell Macdonalds where to go.

Wow is all I can say. What on earth is happening to this world we live in. People go on about kids being stuck in front of tvs, family's not spending enough quality leisure time together and one of the local swimming pools is going to be preventing use of a membership that you can use from as far north as Wick, down to Lochaber and across to Portree. Do me a favour and wake up!!!! How many families only come to use the pool... I would say none... How many families have secondary spend when they go to Aviemore.. All of them. So your actions will not only affect the local families but also the local businesses that rely on these families.....

The local children love having a pool , it would be such a shame for them to lose something so valuable to them.
