There apparently appears to be a concerning problem.

The PS4 will become unplayable if the CMOS dies and the servers are shut down.

The CMOS is connected to the trophies, as Lance McDonald puts it: so people cant change their PS4 date/time to make it look like they got trophies earlier than they really did.

Not helping, is the Store shutting down on PS3, PSP and PS Vita this summer.

Understandable that things can't last forever, but this creates a problem: this will brick the console, since you won't be able to play digital or physical. This is a design flaw that shouldn't even exist, yet it does.

Sony, please give us a software update that fixes this concerning issue. There are lots of customers who want to go and play games offline with or without trophies, this revelation is not good for business.

One more thing: this petition may not reach a high popularity, but I'm pretty sure someone somewhere needs this petition. It may get ignored, but this is a big deal.

Thank you for your time. Let's hope Sony realizes this before it becomes one.
