We love your games. We've grown up with them. And we want to keep playing them the way we choose—including on discs.
What We're Asking
Please keep making physical game discs after 2028. Don't go digital-only.
We're not saying stop digital games. We're just asking for both options to stay available.
Why This Matters to Us
Owning vs. Renting
When we buy a disc, we truly own it. Nobody can take it away. With digital games, we're just renting a license that can disappear.
Sharing and Trading
With discs, we can lend games to friends, trade them, or sell them when we're done. Digital games lock us out of that.
No Internet? No Problem
Not everyone has fast Wi-Fi. Discs let people play without downloading huge files or waiting hours.
Keeping Memories Alive
Games are special. We love seeing our collection on a shelf, reading the booklets, and knowing our favorites will still work 10 or 20 years from now.
Fairness for Everyone
Some countries don't have strong internet. Physical discs make sure all gamers, everywhere, get the same chance to play.
What We Believe
Digital is great—we use it too. But physical discs are not outdated. They give us freedom, choice, and peace of mind.
We believe both can exist together. That's how it's always been, and that's how it should stay.
Please Do This
1. Keep making discs for all your big games.
2. Make sure future consoles (like PS6) have a disc drive option.
3. Keep selling games in stores, not just online.
4. Don't force discs to check online every time we play—let us enjoy them offline.
Sign If You Agree
If you think playing on disc should always be an option, please add your name.
Every signature shows Sony that physical games still matter to millions of people.
Thank you for listening. We're not asking to stop digital—we're asking to keep our choice.
Physical media is more accessible for people that don’t have access/good access to internet and it allows for the consumer to truly own their games.
