It is very important that Dr. Hardy stays at Somers High School. I will be a junior next year and she is critical to the college process.

I cannot say how much our school district benefits from Dr Hardy's hard work. Personally speaking, she has been playing an absolutely pivotal role in our three children's academic career. She embodies professionalism, compassion and warmth. Her door is always open and she is ready to talk with a smile.
In her role as the director of counseling she builds relationships with students, counselors, teachers, parents and also connects our community with the outside world by bringing in programs and personnel from numerous universities and public organizations. . If we lose her, Somers School district will miss not just an outstanding leader but also a dear friend to the student/parent community.

The value of Dr.Hardy to the academic future of our children and to the reputation of SHS far outweigh the cost of keeping her in her role.

Dr. Grady's Guidance Counselor position should not be cut. She has a wealth of experience and expertise in the field that our High Schoolers need when College hunting and navigating the college testing and application process. We have sought her advice repeatedly over the years and found her to be a tremendous resource.

Dr. Hardy was an invaluable player during the high school to college transitions of so many of my friends. Though she wasn't my counselor, she always made time to speak with me and my friends whenever we needed guidance. It would be a disservice to SHS's students (and a downright shameful move on the administration's part) to let her go.

Dr. Hardy is a wonderful, kind, and compassionate person. She is excellent at her job. This position is incredibly important to ensure students reach their fullest potential.

Dr. Hardy works her ass off so that alot of students that she has can go off and be successful. All of the counsolers work hard. Some more than others but if there is one day where someone is out shee steps up and helps them out when she doesnt have to. Dr. Hardy deserves her position and her pay.

Dr. Hardy is an extremely knowledgeable and passionate counselor. She truly cares about the success of each and every high school student. Her guidance and compassion during my time in the high school will be something I will always remember.

Dr. Hardy was so incredibly helpful, not only to me, but my four siblings as well! She was always happy and willing to help with whatever she could. Letting her go would be such a sad mistake.

My twins are juniors at an incredible liberal arts college ranked 16 in the country. Their hard work during their high school years at Somers HS coupled with the experienced and skillful guidance provided by Dr Hardy and her staff, I believe made it possible.

Dr. Hardy has been the best counselor I could ask for, and she wasn't even really my counselor. She was always there to help me and offer advice, making time for me in her very busy schedule even though she never had to. And it isn't just me--a lot of people depend on her. Speaking from experience, I can say she is the most invaluable member of the guidance department and essential to SHS.

Dr. Hardy was incredibly helpful and influential in my college search experience leading to my graduation in 2010. She played a crucial role in the future successes of her students and it would be a huge and irreplaceable loss to let her go.

Dr. Hardy is the school's best counselor. If the school actually cared about our education they would be cutting the unnecessary things out of our budget such as the tablets that never seem to work or the new TVs in every class room. If the Board of Education genuinely cares about our education, why would we be firing our best connection to our next step in education? Dr. Hardy is always available to her students and even to students she doesn't have and is always willing to help anyone who comes her way. She takes the time to search for the right college fit for each student and gives each kid the attention they want and need. Without Dr. Hardy, not many people would be where they are today including myself.

The Director of Guidance should stay. Dr. Hardy not only assists the children but the parents as well. There must be other areas that can be explored to cut the costs. Why eliminate someone who is great at what they do?!

Somers High School would definitely not be the same without Dr. Hardy. We're so lucky to have her, and I can't bare the thought of her leaving, she holds us all together!
