This petition is aimed at the Pipers and Pipe Band Society of Ontario (PPBSO) to present this petition to the Glengarry Games Committee to hold the morning Solo Bass Contest at the Glengarry Highland Games. The Glengarry Games are the North American Championships for pipe bands and soloists and is significant in earning Champion Supreme points in Ontario. In addition, the morning bass contest was one of the few events not offered at the 2011 Games, however it is offered at smaller competitions, such as Georgetown, Kincardine, and Cambridge. Therefore, if the Solo Bass Contest can be offered at other games, it should also be offered at the North American Championships. It is the hope to have enough signatures supporting this issue to present this petition to the PPBSO at their yearly AGM to approach the Glengarry Games Committee in the hopes of bringing back the solo bass contest at the Glengarry Highland Games.
