FCPS needs to step up in the education department. Our kids lack such great futures.

We need to stop waiting for our students to fail and be proactive in providing structured literacy in our classrooms as well as appropriate intense interventions to accommodate those with dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia.

I was a longtime resident of Frederick County, raised three children in FCPS, and was a Frederick County Public School teacher. This is essential!

Please provide funding on American citizen kids. Why do we have to beg for this while illegal aliens get a lot of funding for whatever needs they have?

This is a great idea! Actually, FCPS needs to spend A LOT more on reading, including training teachers in scientifically-based reading instruction/structure literacy. Let's give kids the best instruction available instead of ineffective "balanced literacy" FCPS prefers.

Learning to read is a basic right and we need many different options to teach children with many different learning styles.
