I work in media in downtown Chicago and I’ve ordered Smoque catering for client meetings and appreciation lunches for nearly 15 years! This restaurant is also a family favorite. We celebrate every Father’s Day at Smoque and we live in Flossmoor, IL.

Smoque BBQ is an institution. If you are going to release this grill, why not just collaborate on the project with the best BBQ in Chicago?! The place was featured on "The Bear!"

Soon after opening, Smoque delivered food for a company-wide lunch (for 35 people) to our downtown Chicago office by personal car. I think it was the owner himself. I never forgot the personal touch, not to mention the delicious food. The owners take pride in their product and providing the best service, and have since the beginning.

Weber should observe intellectual property and trademark rights. As a Weber grill owner, I’m disappointed in your marketing decision. Should it come to a lawsuit, I hope Smoque BBQ gets millions from your poor decision.

Hoping Weber does the right thing here, without a doubt there is risk of association or affiliation! TTAB is an extensive process, but worth the fight to retain exclusivity on the register.
