Please prevent Weber from infringing on Smoque BBQ’s name. They have worked hard to enjoy exclusivity of that name.

It very plausible and probable that anyone, even those familiar with Smoque BBQ, could believe that the two companies are partnering in some way, due to the name alone.

SMOQUE BBQ isn’t just a name—it’s synonymous with some of the best barbecue you can find. That unmistakable flavor, the rich, smoky aroma, and the anticipation of every bite and return visit have made it iconic. To now see that name used for a grill product feels like a blatant attempt to hijack those associations. It’s transparent, misleading, and simply wrong.

I have gone to Smoque BBQ since it opened. I was just there last week and it as as good as the first time we went there. Very often I will go to Grace Automotive across the street and I love the smell of Smoque low and slow BBQ outside of the restuarant.

I and my family have used Weder products for over 60 years. We are very disappointed in their deceptive actions regarding Smoque restaurant . We fully support Mr Sorkin and his team

We have been eating their food since they opened and nothing else comes close. For a large company like Weber to make the disingenuous claim that there will be no consumer confusion is legal language cherry picking. That's not how consumers think and nor should they. I'm sure Weber defends their trademark with similar zeal if there is even a whiff of confusion possible. Bad move on Weber's part!!

In the Chicago area, the name Smoque is intrinsically linked to the iconic restaurant. As a Chicago area based company, Weber would know this as an absolute. As a big fan of both brands, I hope Weber responds in the only appropriate manner, which is to not use the name of Smoque.

Been eating at Smoque since 2007. Best BBQ around. Disappointed that Weber would knowingly do this, assuming their deep pockets could survive a legal challenge.
