I love Smoque BBQ and not the Weber grill. Weber needs to change the name, and protect small businesses.

Smoque is legendary and unique. It's even mentioned in meat head as the official best way to cut a brisket. Screw Weber

You're better than this Weber. Are you really telling us you can't come up with your own clever thing? That you had to steal someone else's?

Weber…you have great products but please respect the legal IP of our beloved Smoque BBQ and find a new name for your product!

Smoque is a staple of Chicago dining. Even after moving out to the suburbs, I’d drive an hour to wait in line for an hour for a meal.
It’s always been *that* good. I live in Florida now, but when I come to visit grandma, Smoque is always on the shortlist.
Sad to see Weber carelessly (hopefully not maliciously) create confusion by using the name “Smoque.”

Smoque BBQ owns the trademark to “Smoque.” Weber has enough brand equity that they can choose another name and be just as successful.

Weber's plan infringes on Smoque's trademark and should not be allowed.

My friend John Brotherton always spoke highly of Smoque. Miss him and I’m sure he’d support this so signing for the both of us.

No one spells smoke as 'smoque' phonetically. It's a brand and a company like Weber using it is pretty clear capitalization on that branding.

A shameful case of a big brand trying to snatch an innovative brand from the little guy because they think they can get away with it.

The best interpretation is this is sheer laziness on Weber's part. The alternative is it's an attempt to hijack the Smoque BBQ name. Reputable, responsible companies conduct trademark searches before announcing a product name, and that practice--on top of Weber's familiarity with Smoque BBQ--should have steered Weber in a different direction. Coincidentally, we were in the market for a grill, and if this is Weber's business style then we'll take our business elsewhere!

Change the name of your smoker. There are many names to choose from, why mess with a small business. For this alone I will stop buying your products. Please listen to us!
