I have been reading the stories some of you left about working in smoky environments and they remind me exactly why I started this. No one should have to choose between their paycheck and their ability to breathe clean air while on the job.

Seeing this momentum grow reminds me of the nights I spent worrying about my friend working in a smoke-filled bar. It feels like our community is finally ready to demand the healthy environments every worker deserves.

total nonsense that this is still a debate in 2014. workers deserve better than this.
clean air everywhere. no exceptions.
Finally. Its about time we stopped letting people smoke inside restaurants. I want to enjoy my dinner without smelling like an ashtray when I get home.
should have been banned years ago. cant believe were still talking about this.
My son works in a bar and comes home coughing every single night. This is a health hazard for everyone involved.

I avoid certain places simply because the smoke is so bad. Its gross and unfair to the servers who have to work in it all shift
