Smart Development Needed on the Miami River - Have Your Voices Heard

More walkable public spaces!

Outdoor space and nice walkways are so important to any city. Miami should be developing them. Also, the zoning of Miami 21 was set for a reason, not to be broken.

I am opposed to this. Apart from disrespecting established Charter and building rules, it will add significant additional traffic congestion

Developers are ruining our community… We no longer have a place to go and feel like we belong especially with the closing down of many restaurants & pubs around Mary Brickell village. It’s all about money!

Please do not allow the developer to move forward with The Edge on Brickell project. We need development along the river to provide parks, walkways, bike paths and restaurants to bring new life to the river. We need Smart Growth. The Edge on Brickell project is NOT Smart Growth. The project proposes a 58-story tower on a parcel sized for a few town homes or shops. The project ignores the waterfront setback requirements in our City Charter and Miami 21, and it does nothing to create the public waterfront that those documents promise. The developer of this lot is seeking the City’s approval to waive a significant number of building requirements and should not be allowed to do so. Thank you,

I oppose the Edge on Brickell project We do not need another high tower. This project doesn’t comply with waterfront setbacks requirements. It will not improve the quality of life of residents.

Well, I think that we should a more and smart overall view of the actual City development. But for what it looks, some people they are not putting a lot of efforts on that issue. 58-storey's tower is pretty high for a river front situation. Well beyond than too high. That's my opinion. No to this project.

Rules are rules! This building does not deserve the exception. It’s for the better good for all the people for this not to be built. There is no housing shortage in Miami so developers should stick to the regulations set by our state and people.

As a long-time resident of the Riverfront area, I strongly oppose the development of The Edge condominium. It is not feasible to build housing on such a small plot of land, and will be detrimental to the entire area.

We need more green spaces more people can enjoy along the miami river not ANOTHER high rise.

Absurd to release all codes to allow this project.

It is important for the City of Miami to protect its river and natural resources, as well as to provide green and cultural areas to its residents. Simple things protect the environment and offer better life. The river is that: life and good development. No more high rise buildings.

The Miami River should be developed considering the neighbors and the environment. A new building that doesn’t fit all the regulations is useless. It is suspicious that the county would approve a construction with such characteristics.
