I am very much against cannabis farms in SLO County and live 2 parcels from one that has applied to increase size and make modifications to their permit to lessen requirements.

The rights of families should not be trampled on for the sake of cannabis sales. This type of industry brings unwanted noise, smells and undesirable traffic of both people and vehicles.

Take your pot and go somewhere else.
We are wine and agriculture, not pot and stupid.

Many of us live in the country to get away from city people, traffic and dangers. Out of town people coming into our county to grow cannabis should not be allowed. Many of my neighbors are moving out of state to get away from the 2 huge grows right next to us.

Cannabis is not compatible with our community. Since it should only be grown indoors the structures required for this effort definitely will not blend favorably with the uncluttered scenic landscape in the area.

I believe the supervisors should limit the grows to no more than 100 plants per parcel. There is too much industrial growing going on.

Also, the condition of the property has been a junk filled mess for a year or more, which is a good indication of how it will be in the future.

I am concerned about the skunk smell associated with cannabis and the unknown health risks to my family.

I live in Nipomo. Lynn Compton did not reach out to her constituents. If I want to know what is going on I get emails from AG city council member, Jimmy Paulding. I would remind Ms. Compton she won her seat by 61 votes. 4 of those votes are neighbors who have sold their property and moved out of state. This is due in part to marijuana grows 1/2 mile from our homes. Way to go Lynn!

Do not sell out our beautiful county to these corporate, industrialized pirates! They are trying to take advantage of this pristine area and they are not compatible with our community and our quality of life.

Cannabis should be thought of as a nuisance crop and regulated as such. It smells, it uses an inordinate amount of water, and it raises serious security issues wherever it is grown, due in part to black market sales, and in part to its cash-only economy. It should therefore only be permitted under circumstances that have no adverse impact on neighboring residents and land. I favor allowing only indoor grows, with industrial production only in areas zoned for industry. It is incompatible with all residential areas. I also favor zero tolerance for violations by growers. If they cannot follow the rules, their permits should be rescinded--no questions asked.

This is next door to our rental property. I met with people heading development and told them I was not ok with it.

Listen to the public and accept the MJ challenge. Clean up the mess of poorly crafted regulations and motivate the inept creators to do a job that meets the stated intent of the regulations by creating good public policy.
