We already pay for State Park stickers and ORV stickers... to have to purchase another sticker 24 hours in advance in order to enjoy the dunes is creating extra bureaucracy. Additionally, the extra funds raised won't go for Silver Lake Dunes maintenance, or even for anything in Michigan or even the USA. The money will go to a Canadian company, and will pay salaries of people selling the stickers. Many people are willing to pay an extra fee if their money goes to the upkeep and maintenance of the place itself. But the money is leaving the community, and leaving the country... it's not being used to help maintain the Silver lake Dunes that we all love.

As Dune users we already pay and pay again, to add this voucher system that will unjustly tax us more is reprehensible, to have the fees go to a foreign company and not a penny to park improvement is criminal.

it's no different than the voucher system they have now except you would have to pay for it and print it off. you still have to wait until the time your voucher says you can go in. such a stupid idea.

Thanks again Michigan. I can understand we all need to chip in. However, last year was a big hit to the pocket book. I said fine it goes to improving the experience. However, this is over the top. I just wont be worth the money or head ache anymore. Thanks, again Michigan.

As someone wanting to get into the sport and about to purchase a banshee to ride up at silver lake, this new voucher system will not only run people away, but it will stop people like me from getting into the sport.

If this begins I and many others will be finding alternative places to go. I have I small group of riders that do last minute trips to the dunes and this will not work for us. We will seek another place to hold our annual spring ride this year just on principle.

$24 ORV permit + $10 Trail permit + $11 State Park Permit * 4 vehicles is enough, now you want to add $10 voucher fee * 2(Friday & Saturday). If you stay for a week including both weekends that's an extra $40 on top of the $44 in permits for each vehicle. Plus gas getting there and back, plus $35-$45 a night for camping. Pretty soon it will be cheaper to take a Caribbean cruise. Stop trying to ruin our sport with outrageous fees!

i believe we pay enough to get on the dunes now. between the orv and trail permit plus the gas it takes to drive there and to drive on the dunes.this extra charge is wrong

would not like to see this in action - i feel this will turn people who are not regular duners away and will frustrate those who are. isnt purchasing the TWO orv's enough?!
