what are they trying to do pay for more raptors to drive around and look cool? The average Joe to go to the dunes for the weekend is going to cost $500.00 (gas, camping,food, ORV sticker,State Park sticker 10.00 a day for the Voucher. Wheres the fun ?
i think this is WRONG in so many ways we pay for stste psrk stickers and orv stickers for a reason and how can you predict the weather 24 hrs in advance?? i don't want to spend my money sitting in the dunes on a rainey day when i could just sit home!!
strongly disagree with what's going on here. If it were to happen it should be only for the 3 big holiday weekends. That's the only time it's needed. Any other time of year you can just drive through the voucher center and grab a voucher and go in.
This will destroy the chance for a lot of people to have some fun 4 wheeling. Adding the trail permit was bad enough. I understand they need to make changes to improve the voucher system, but to charge 10.00 a permit is disgraceful. Shame on you !
Having a company based out of Canada to run the voucher system?! Really, that just does not make sense. This entire voucher proposal does not make sense and is not in the best interest of the people who pay taxes to have places like this to go to!!

Please do not add this additional, unnecessary fee. It's extraneous and adds up quickly for families as most people spend 2-4 day weekends on the dunes. We're already paying multiple ORV and park fees. Don't take away joy from Michigan families.
