Softball is a very popular sport in my town during the summer. A lot of
people play recreational league for fun. My high school and the other high
schools around mine have very competitive softball teams.
This is my 7th year playing. I'm going into my freshman year of high school
and I will play for my school team, I can't wait.
When I go to college, I plan on playing softball there.
I also want to represent the USA softball team in the olympics someday
I know I'm not the only teenage girl who dreams of going to the olympics. I
know that many other teenage softball players dream of someday
representing their country in the olympics.
We can't fufil our dreams without the help of others. It doesn't matter who
they may be. Our family, our team mates, softball lovers, ex-olympians,
even just somebody who loves to watch the olympic games.
I hope to get a lot of signatures on this which may help convince the IOC
that softball is worth it.
Even if softball doesn't get put in the 2020 games, when I would be
22, I could still have a chance of playing in the 2024 or 2028 games.
I feel so bad for the ladies who had the dream of playing softball in the
olympics, but can't because the years that they would have been a good
age, 2012 or 2016, don't have softball.

I have been reading through the thoughtful comments many of you left about what this sport has meant to your own lives. It is clear that the desire to see softball return to the world stage is shared by people from all walks of life. This collective passion reminds me why this goal remains so important to pursue even when the path ahead seems uncertain.

Seeing this movement grow beyond my own team has been a deeply humbling experience. It is clear that so many others share the same hope of seeing softball back on the international stage. This response proves that our collective aspiration for the future of the game is truly justified.

my daughter has played since she was 6 and she works so hard. taking softball out is just wrong. bring it back for the girls who want to compete at the top level.
