Mansfield Avenue, between Dew Lane and Middlesex, has been unsafe and dangerous for pedestrians and runners living in this part of Darien. Because of the curves on this stretch of the road, drivers cannot see pedestrians until they are very close, and there is a lot of traffic. As a result, students cannot walk to/from Ox Ridge school, and residents are afraid to jog, push strollers, or walk their dogs. The sidewalk will also connect the neighborhood to the newly purchased property Highland Farm. The sidewalk can be built in either side of the road. Please consider our request.
