I am a UK based sex worker who is campaigning to shut down sites like XHamster and RedTube which share my own private/personal videos without my permission.

I am aware that a lot of people have a negative perception of cam girls and sex workers, but the work i do on cam is my own work and I should not only get paid for doing it (as should anybody who works - even a person painting a picture is working if they are creating content to sell). These sites take my work and distribute it for nothing, under-cutting me and infringing on my copyright.

I have asked sites which have my content on to please remove them, but they are often rude (sometimes obscene and threatening) and I do not have the money at my disposal to fight them in the courts. Therefore, I am calling for the UK Government to shut XHamster and RedTube down and to ask for EU countries beyond 2018 (post UK Brexit) to adopt this law as well.

You wouldn't like it if your work was given away free would you? Therefore I ask you to sign this petition and protect me and others in the same industry from cruel sites like XHamster who see sex workers as easy pickings.
