This is a petition in aid of changing the speed limit on the road leading to Mount Pleasant from th Washington Highway, to 30mph, instead of the dangerous 60mph, which has caused many serious accidents. Before the turn off we are hoping for signs saying there is a sharp bend and also telling drivers to reduce speed. We need 5000 signatures to make a change, and to possibly save lives. The petition will be sent to Sunderland City Council and the police. every signature counts.
