Please consider very carefully all the factors involved, of which firearms law is a very minor one, Thank you.

To be honest I do not have a lot of faith in politicians making knee jerk changes, this happened after Aromoana and left huge gaps allowing milatary type semi auto firearms to be classed as A cat, and driving even the smallest percentage of these firearms under ground in the long run will be the worst possible result for all of us

If only you'd have acted this fast against the illegal gang weapons!!! Knee-Jerk legislation without a considered, inclusive process will be resented and not as effective, as well as penalizing good citizens while making NZ no safer.

This was a failure by NZ government intelligence, not gun laws. This knee-jerk response will not limit another horrendous event like this. Stop with the scapegoating.

There needs to be rational discussions with all affected parties including gun owners before any changes to legislation. Remember the NZ Police considered the individual responsible for the terror attack a “fit and proper person” to be issued a firearms license.

Banning semi automatic firearms is ridiculous.

There needs to be an investigation before any change in firearms legislation. It's just common sense.
