A motivated individual can kill with literally anything. Whether its guns, bombs, knives, cars or their hands. It's not the tool, its the person behind it.

This is not the time to try take actions to score quick political points or lead the public into a false scene of security.

There was nothing wrong with our arms law, rushing into a ban on semi autos is just stupid especially with all these people trying to ban them who have no idea what there talking about.

A radicalised individual, with a dubious past, dubious connections and travel habits, from another country, committing an Act of Terror in NZ, that none of the country's security or intelligence services identified in advance, or responded to quickly enough. IEDs in the vehicle, the vehicle itself was a potential weapon, but the problem is semi-auto firearms! It's a broken record and completely inappropriate to focus on right now. Public enquiry, submissions and all in the public domain. Bans do not work and you threaten the private property and sport of hundreds of thousand of FAL holders and their families and friends. A truck was used as a terrorist weapon to kill 86 people in France - no trucks were banned. Do not divide your citizens PM and make us licence holders scapegoats.

It’s not the gun that kills people it’s the person behind the gun better mental health checks need to be done not band aids a situation by banning guns

Registration always lead to confiscation, only tyrants wish to disarm law abiding citizens, bad guys don't obey gun control laws.

Do we change car laws when there are deaths from car accidents? Do we ban knives when someone is stabbed?

You guys rush into taking away our rights, of defense. You also take away our assets and property, simply for using money.
Section 3 of the Domestic Violence Act calls simply using money domestic violence.
That's why you are quick to take away our ability to defend ourselves.
