I support the building of a shade structure over the small playscape adjacent to the Park Pavilion located in Rollingwood Park. I understand that the purpose of the shade structure is to help decrease surface temperatures, overall play area temperatures and provide UV protection from the sun. I understand that the Rollingwood Women's Club has donated $15,000 towards the project. I understand that a Board member from the RGK Foundation has selected the Rollingwood Shade structure project as a $10,000 grant recipient. I understand that the Park Commission has requested $15,000 from the RCDC for the shade structure project. I support the Park Commissions efforts in researching, developing and implementing this project.
