SHAKE SHACK opened its first St. Louis area restaurant this week at 32 North Euclid Avenue in the Central West End. SHAKE SHACK, founded by born and raised St. Louisan Danny Meyer, is the modern-day “roadside” burger restaurant, best known for its high-quality food and long lines.

The second location of SHAKE SHACK needs to be located here in Webster Groves, the Queen of the Suburbs” said Gregory Haug, who is starting an online campaign to lure Meyer and SHAKE SHACK to Webster Groves. Haug is a councilman candidate for the Webster Groves Council.

Haug said “You are probably asking yourself, what does this have to do with an election and aren’t there larger issues that you should be dealing with?”

Haug replied, “It’s about stimulating economic development in Webster Groves and bringing more excitement and visitors. SHAKE SHACK is a great place to talk about issues over a delicious ShackBurger®, frozen custard or beer.”

Haug said that a coordinated effort is necessary by the City of Webster Groves, the Webster Groves Shrewsbury Rock Hill Chamber of Commerce and citizens to convince Danny Meyer and SHAKE SHACK that we want to be the next St. Louis area location of this iconic restaurant to be located right here in Webster Groves.

Please sign petition asking Danny Meyer and SHAKE SHACK to make Webster Groves their second location in the St. Louis area and that Meyer be given a "key to the city" by the City of Webster Groves.
