We, the undersigned, call on Worcester Superior Court Judge James R. Lemire to send Edward Kooyomjian to prison for his crimes.

Edward Kooyomjian or Eddie K, as he known, has had a long history of defrauding investors.

Among his most recent victims is the widow of a Worcester Police officer, who was taken for hundreds of thousands of dollars while she was suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. Eddie K gambled away most of her money.

Eddie K has had a long history of building substandard projects in Central Massachusetts, and has been accused of defrauding investors, being involved in suspicious fires and of providing gifts to city inspectors – including paying for gambling trips to Atlantic City. His activities have been documented by scores of articles in the Worcester Telegram  throughout the 1990s.

Among his most recent victims are several hard working Central Massachusetts residents with families.

Through one of his most recent cons, the Leicester Estates project, Eddie K compelled victims to sign onerous notes guaranteeing construction loans.  Today these investors are on the hook for more than a million dollars owed on the project.

Eddie K is a true affinity criminal who preys on friends and acquaintances.  Among his victims are some of his closest friends and the godmother of his children.

Throughout the long months of civil and criminal proceedings against Eddie K, he has steadfastly refused any attempts to re-pay his victims by stalling negotiations as long as possible and then defaulting.

Sending Eddie K to prison will help provide some relief to his many victims and will send a message to others that white collar crime is still a crime and will not be tolerated.
