I have been reviewing the feedback provided in the comment section and appreciate the thoughtful concerns regarding student safety within our facilities. These perspectives are currently being compiled into a formal report to present to the school board. Your participation is essential for ensuring that district administrators recognize the urgency of this infrastructure project.

I fully support security cameras inside and outside of the school. However, I'd like policy to be put in place to prevent the overuse of the footage they capture. The footage should be used as a tool of last resort and not become the go to for each situation, no matter how minor.

If there were a shooter in the school and we could save lives by locating the shooter with interior cameras- I could never forgive myself if I didn’t say yes to interior cameras.

Our schools are public buildings and there should be no expectation of privacy if you are on the premises. Safety for our kids is of penultimate importance. Cameras will help deter fake threats. It’s time.
