We, the undersigned fans of the Chicago Fire, took offense when we learned that, at the White Party hosted by the Club on August 8, women wearing bodypaint (and little else) were used to promote the Chicago Fire. We believe that this was unnecessary and unproductive. Further, it placed the Club in a negative light. We believe that the Club should take all steps to ensure that all members of the Chicago Fire community -- regardless of sex, gender, orientation, race, religion or background -– are treated with the utmost respect. The action taken by the Club to promote the Chicago Fire, in the way that it did, served that purpose in no way whatsoever.

In short: the Chicago Fire Soccer Club should give a damn about this... because Fire fans do.

We respectfully request an explanation, an apology or – preferably – both.

Signed --

Fans of the Chicago Fire Soccer Club
