Coyotes have become a real problem for Seal Beach and removal of them is necessary to prevent attacks on family pets and children. Packs of coyotes are now roaming our neighborhoods throughout the day and they have shown to have very little fear of humans or basic hazing methods. Hazing coyotes and learning to coexist with them has done nothing to ensure the safety of our community. What is to prevent a coyote from mistaking a child for prey and attacking?
We want a safe community for raising our children and walking our animals without the fear of coyote attacks. We urge the city of Seal Beach to begin trapping the coyotes and then either neutering/spaying them or euthanizing the dangerous and sick ones.

I HAVE BEEN SPENDING MY ENTIRE WEEK MEETING WITH LOCAL NEIGHBORS AND THE STORIES OF NEAR MISSES ARE ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING!! WE ARE TAKING THIS FIGHT DIRECTLY TO THE CITY OFFICIALS NEXT BECAUSE OUR STREETS MUST BE SAFE FOR OUR CHILDREN AND PETS AGAIN!!

THIS MOMENTUM IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE AND IT SHOWS THAT OUR COMMUNITY IS READY FOR REAL CHANGE!! WE ARE SENDING A POWERFUL MESSAGE TO THE CITY THAT OUR STREETS MUST BE SAFE FOR OUR CHILDREN AND PETS AGAIN!!

as a resident of seal beach , i feel it is important to get this taken care of we were lucky …. few months back we had one in our back yard face to face with my Westie. he was lucky we were home to acre him off other wise the outcome would have not been good , since then they are no longer allowed to play outside unattended . It makes me sad we can not even enjoy our back yard. We bordered west garden grove and they have stared trapping and the number have decreased. put a stop to the eating of our port baby animals

Saw a huge one near the park at 2pm yesterday. They arent scared of people anymore and it is only a matter of time before someone gets hurt. Fix this now.
