Request ACC Mayor/Commissioners to Manage Wild Coyote Population Eastside of Athens
Please sign this petition if you support the Athens Clarke County Government managing to wild coyotes on the Eastside of Athens. Unfortunately, numerous residents are concerned with the loss of pets and potential threat to residents, especially children. Once we reach enough signatures this will be delivered to the Mayor & Commissioners at the next meeting. Thanks!

We recently lost our sweet cat to a coyotes as did our neighbor. There needs to be some kind of control for these animals.
Concerned for our pets
Some of the pictures taken and posted recently make me think we may have a hybrid (bigger than a coyote) animal of sorts. Some mentioned a wolf even. At least we should have these sightings investigated.
I am very concerned about the safety of my son playing outside, as well as my pet.
A lot of our neighbors are losing their pets to coyotes...I keep my cats in the house all the time, but feel sorry for the others who are outside.

I'm very concerned about the numerous daytime sightings of what could be coyotes, or a coyote/wolf mix very close to where I live, and also the fact that they don't seem to be afraid of humans. I have young grandchildren that come often to visit.
