I represent volunteer lifeguard club Jacksons Bay. Already struggling to get our young volunteers over due to resident permits.

I think its disgusting introducing parking charger at the knap. The local authority is supposed to be promoting health and wellbeing but charging at the knap will take one of the only few places left away from people that can go and relax and keep fit.

As a full time teaching assistant working in Holton Road, I use the car park Monday-Friday 08.00-16.00 as do many others who work in the area. Also use this on Saturdays too. It’s always well used. Where are we supposed to park? How can we afford to spend money each day just to park and go to work??? Even if it’s £5 per day, that’s £100-£125 per month!!!

This is beyond disgusting all parking should be free to bring business and footfall to this once thriving town which is now nearly dead.

As residents of the vale of Glamorgan were pay enough, so we should not pay parking too! We are also the people who will be there through the winter months too, paying into various businesses to eat & drink & buy treats, but I’m sure like others I won’t be spending money in business as well as on parking

Thanks for ruining my quick half an hour run at the beach and supporting the local businesses buying a coffee after. Take a pay cut and empty those overflowing bins instead!

This is wrong on every level! Discouraging/fleecing local council tax payers and visitors and creating a ghost town of Barry just to make some quick money.

I opposed the implementation of these parking charges, without public consultation and residents opportunity to be able to voice their concerns.

Really what have you got against local business - removal of the free parking will decimate the footfall and cause serious hardship to the businesses there over the quieter periods with the long term harm potentially leading to barry island becoming a ghost town

Small businesses who have seasonal income are being forced put of business by the Welsh government talking of visitor holiday taxes and your intended parking charges. Would love to hear thoughts on what you think is going to happen to these areas ?

Times are tough for the trades and locals. We don't get many pleasures in life to have couples hours down Barry island .KNOW council want chargers to park on streets surrounded the Barry Island
