Stop the car parking charge ‘ this will ruin Barry island

No need, people need free space to exercise

We are frequent visitors to the island but this charge will stop us visiting at all.

I am a regular visitor to the area but expensive parking would stop certainly stop me visiting

Nazi Britain needs to stop

I always try and visit Barry Island for a short walk and some sea air when I come to Cardiff ( quite often out of season) as I do not live near the coast.I always buy something to eat and /or drink but if on street parking is introduced for a short visit I will think twice about visiting as often as I have had done for the last 30 years. I think it will discourage visitors , is very unfair on residents and will impact local businesses. Very shortsighted in my opinion as to the damage it may cause to businesses.Sheer greediness.

Reduce pafking fees and create more to avoid illegal parking

It is wrong that you want to charge people for visiting places in their own town, people with mobility issues , young children and people who live a car drive away from these places shouldn’t have to pay.

Happy to pay to park if I’m planning a day out but not for an hour or 2 to go for a coffee or a walk or use Maslin park.

Councillors and officers need to hang their heads in shame.

The parking fees will negativity impact trade, Barry has lots of deprived areas and with the cost of living impacting families etc, the local.vusinesses will suffer as people just won't go in. If people have places to park, they are more likely to spend money and keep businesses afloat. Any increase in unemployment will.impact on business rates and people's income, which will impact people's physical and mental health placing pressure on adult social care and NHS services.
